Radamel Falcao Zarate

Not really what we need as good as he is. Even if we sold one of Mario or Dzeko, just replace them with guidetti.

I'm more worried about our midfield tbh. Barry has two or so years left in his engine, Rodwell is inexperienced, & Milner can't dictate/ or keep the game flowing the same way that Barry does.

Imo, our midfield isn't as strong as we make it out to be.

Yaya is a beast though.

So if we sold Dzeko or Balotelli you would rather replace them with Guidetti than Falcao?

I think what he's trying to say is that there are more pressing issues in the team that need addressing than to be blowing £50m on another striker, especially when we have a very promising prospect in Guidetti (whose chances would only decrease even further if Dzeko or Mario were shipped out and Falcao brought in).

Is that concept so hard to understand on here?

I understood the rest of his point and actually agree with it.

The bit I highlighted in italics was the bit I disagreed with. Hence me commenting on that bit and saying fuck all about the other bit.

Is that concept so hard for you to understand?

The fact that a fellow blue would rather have Guidetti over Falcao needs questioning dont you think?

Imo, our attack is potent enough even with the departure of one striker. Having 4 class strikers is unnecessary & only causes disharmony amongst the group. The only way i would consider buying Falcao, is if we let 2 of our strikers go.

Its not a matter of choosing Guidetti over Falcao. Its being realistic & looking at the situation at hand & our needs. Falcao is an excess not a priority.

What i mean is 'if' we incorporate Falcao in at the expense of Dzeko or Mario. I doubt Mario really cares if he plays...yet, but i have no doubts that it affects Dzeko. Imagine how he would feel if Mario were sold only for Falcao to be his replacement. Suddenly you have 3 world class players who are basically untouchables, Sergio Aguero, Tevez & Falcao. Where does that leave the 4th player?

Falcao i'm sure would also expect to play most games as will Tevez & Dzeko.

Cole and Sheringham still hate each others guts.

That's a poor example. They hated each other for off the pitch reasons, they still had a very good partnership on it.

I hope our strikeforce at the start of next season is Falcao, Aguero, Dzeko and Guidetti.

Falcao is the world's best striker, we would be mad not to go for him if he's available. If we don't sign him to carry on with this Balotelli project hoping he'll turn world class, I'll be gutted. Tevez hasn't got that long left either. I don't really see Aguero as a number 9 either if I'm honest. There's a reason why Mancini wanted RVP so desperately in the summer.

Have a feeling mario will be heading back to italy at the end of the season and tevez will be heading off to argentina for a reasonable price (think he'll only have a year left on his contract then).

A four of Aguero, Falcao, Dzeko and Guidetti sounds good to me.

Completely agree, whilst is very nice shopping for strikers we have something glaring at us that is clearly our downfall, and especially at Chamions League level, and that is our midfield.

We need another Yaya quality player next to Yaya.

Agree with this as well though. I think Garcia was a good signing, and will get better but i don't think barry or rodwell are the answer for european games. When garcia went off against dortmund yaya had to do everything in the middle almost single handed. For me the CM is still our problem position.
