radio 5

We're going to get slapped regardless by the media but every so often it'll actually be warranted.

The only thing about Steve Claridge is that he'll say we're not attacking enough, we're not good enough for the outlay and so on. But he doesn't speak the fans, nor does he speak from any knowledge or insight never having been part of a team like ours. It's just a rent-a-gob opinion thrown out there and while we seethe with the fact that it's not true he'll be off onto the next idiocy.

I don't speak for the fans either I do think we are way better than we were 18 months ago and, blips apart, I'm happy with the direction we're moving in. Wouldn't most of us agree?

Claridge having a pop at Mancini..............hmmm,remind me what he won at Portsmouth and was his other high profile job Weymouth?

Claridge has been bitching about Mancini from day 1 so no surprise there. Wenger is the other one getting it in the neck so far. TS predicting Everton to finish above Arsenal. Can see Arsenal struggling but Everton come on...

fuck me,i`m expecting the house of commons to stick the knife in next, surely they must be the only ones that havn`t had a pop yet but i wouldn`t hold my breath,it must be crawling with big fans who`ve never been to glazerworld and whilst we`re on the subject, some nancy boy newsreader on cbbc had to get his fuckin pennies worth in before, jason manford is right, they`re like fuckin rats...

and big up the candleface comment for twitchy bollocks, had me chuckling that did lol....

Lasted a month as Millwall manager...might not have been that long.

Spot on

The only time to worry about being ripped apart is when the people doing it actually know what theyre talking about..
Fortunately for us this wont happen..As clever folks know when to shut the fuck up.

What do people expect they will say about City?

Even the most blinkered Blue at Wembley yesterday couldn't mount a decent defence of that performance.

It was shocking. It might have been a friendly, it might have been "close" but football pundits have to come up with a point of view, and there's nothing easier than a swipe at City viewpoint after a performamce like yesterday.

But it's the same for Chelsea... and Arsenal... and if Spurs lose a couple of games, it will be about them as well.

Big investment leads to big expectations leads to big criticism when it doesn't come off.

Would it be preferable when we were all complaining that TV and the radio pretty much totally ignored us when we were mid table? If you want to play with the big boys, that comes with the territory...

i was with you apart from two words, close and friendly. no it wasnt close we got murdered in everything but the scoreline and there is no such thing as a friendly against that shower of cunts.

Even though I've celebrated wildly testimonial games we've won against them, the reality is that, yes, it WAS a friendly.

And "close" was in quotations, meaning that I was implying it was "close" in scoreline only.

The performance was so bad that we have made it really easy for the media to get at us. Any more slow, limp performances will put so much pressure on the team and the manager.

The only good thing about yesterday is that we didnt lose any points. Let's hope that's as bad as it will get this season.

only imo but so called community shield friendly loss could have far reaching implications for the season. the effect of that win could have reinforce there feeling of invinciblity.
