Of course he was fortunate. On that speed and playing against United you really have to be fortunate to not get it. On the real time on TV it definitely looked like it could be foul

they did deserved it tbh, when they were 3:0 down it was not fair score but you not always get deserved score and they wouldn't take a point there if they have the refereeing we have

That really is some trick, get the referees to bend over backwards and constantly give them penalties and then still complain about them after the game.

The sad thing is that the linesman is probably kicking himself right now for letting down his boss. Maybe some of the blame goes to Rooney for not telling him to call it right away though.

The players are deliberately falling over upon contact they initiate and the refs are falling for it.

The Chelsea defender made it worse for himself by sticking out his left leg and although he withdrew from the challenge , Webb was fooled once again.

Agree it looked a Foul but a penalty? Maybe my eyes are bad but the challenge looked about ten yards outside the box?

I thought the rags were shameful with their dirty tactics and shows a hint of desperation to me, I also think Chelsea were far to open and should have shut up shop at 3-0 instead of piling forward but nothing can account for a weak referee.
