Rags V Real...

wonder if there would be this outrage if say balo had made that tackle
Exactly, papers weds will be ref costs utd place in quarter finals, were as with mario was all about him costing city a place in the next round and calling him a disgrace,if anyone didnt believe there was a media bias towards the rags, well tonight would have seen to that....

Sky reporting that ferguson has refused to speak to the press and has sent phelen out. If its in the contract that managers need to interview, withhold their payment from the game as utd in breach of contract.
He is such a tosser, happy to speak at half time when winning but they lose and boo hoo

Hello Sir Alex, welcome to the real world of refereeing decisions and not the cosiness of the Premier League.
Let's have another look, he's off, you're out, get over it.

it's funny really, I thought United lost because they let the ball in their net twice...

never know you lost goals for sendings-off.

Papers just proving how rag based the media is, all the southerners will be picking them up tomorrow with their fake morale outrage because the team they follow in their armchair got a taste of their own medicine for once.

Deserved to go as it was reckless and it won't be rescinded if they appeal even though it impacts them next year when Nani may not be in red anyway.

A good side would have defended the lead or at least not conceded two goals in particular as Real were ineffective going forward until the red card.

Manure were in foreign territory being one man down and they didn't know how to cope other than go for it when they were 2-1 down.

Fergie should have bolstered the defence much earlier and brought on Rooney when Nani was sent off.

Fergie stuffed up big time tonight and he knows it.

Probably will go down as one of his biggest cock ups in football.

Its the sort of cock up if made by most managers in similar scenarios they would be calling for the managers head.

The red brigade will blame the ref but the ones that really know football will blame Slur Alex.

Slur Alex lost that game tonight but in anycase they are nowhere near the level of Bayern , Dortmund or Milan / Barca are over two legs and did themselves a favour going out when they should have.

Phelan "...a distraught manager...that's why I'm sat here now...!"

Man up Fergie....you've been getting decisions like this going for you for years. Leaves it to his lackey to face the media....priceless !!
Classless ****. Ferdinand too stood in the refs face applauding. Shameless, classless, shithouse of a club.

The trouble with Ferguson is that he likes to think he has the mandate on players that will go the extra mile both in skill and commitment.
And that has worked over the years.
However, the one thing he never 'gets' is that this makes his players easy prey when it comes to fouls that are like the one we saw tonight and diving like there is no tomorrow.
He can't have it both ways.

I just wanted to mention something...

So - all England can hope for in the CL is Arsenal...

;)
