Raheem Sterling and Gomez - "bust up" at England camp

Very rare for the whole journalistic press to come out in support of what will prove to be an average England manager

I haven’t read one article giving sterling’s view bar something in the daily fail giving quotes from ex players.

Something very sinister about the way the entire media is aligning behind Southgate on this. Even those few who have spoken out like Rio see to have been strangely silenced?

This whole episode strikes me as being very out of character for Sterling - I don’t remember but does he have form for this?

What could have pushed him to flip - he’s usually so composed but to do so in an England camp just seems bizarre

It's probably just the culmination of everything that is going on in the game at the moment. The way City are seemingly officiated differently to other teams, his treatment in the press, the way Dippers were gifted 2 goals on Sunday, the 90 minutes of incessant booing; he's probably just had a gut full. Then, the final straw, after whet happened between them on Sunday he probably just lost it when he saw the c*nt's grinning face.

They had to bite their lips after Sterling called them out last year. They've bided their time, and are now lapping up the opportunity to get their revenge.

Even Martin Samuel who likes to be contrary has supported Southgate.

I think this incident will derail his season along with the bernardo
/ Mendy incident and whatever is going on in John stones and KDB’s heads at the moment

The Press and the FA will see this as a job well done.
Time will tell but I actually think the opposite - I think as long as Pep himself is channelling his fury in the right way it will bring out the best in both Sterling and Bernardo.

My main positive from Sunday was that we had actually found the Bernardo Silva from last season.........

Had the misfortune of seeing ssn last night in the pub after work. Wall to wall Sterling story that, and i quote, ''the whole nation is talking about.''
Southgate talking complete bollocks straight out of the management handbook. No meaning or substance. After the 3rd airing of his presser i put the racing back on, and there wasn't even any meetings.

I think its a real split to be honest. I've listened to loads of ex pro's on the radio and the majority i've listened to say hes got it wrong. In fact it was Trevor Sinclair who suprised me as he said he'd done the right thing.
