The sensible thing would be if we had already agreed between ourselves that they will accept the offer. Liverpool have never been sensible and if they do turn it down I feel sorry for Sterling but I hope we walk away. Leave them with a player who won't play and who walks on a free in two years or uses the Webster in a year.

Do you really think he will refuse to play with the Euro's next summer? There's no way he;d risk his England place he;d get his head down and do his job. The only thing that will happen if we walk away is we miss out on a player we badly need. Football fans are fickle and a few goals and all will be forgiven just like it was with Tevez. Fuck pride, fuck saving a few million just sign him and lets win the league again.

Definitely think they'll reject it if it's not the 50m they're asking, stick to their guns looking like they're taking the high road. Would actually be stunned if they accepted it, actually. The thick twats.

This is SWAG!

If and when the deal is done i think the fee will be "undisclosed" especially if the dippers don't get the full £50 million

But we need a player like Sterling to kick on next season. We've been crying out for a world class winger since the take over, failing to secure both Hazard and Sanchez. I don't want to get mugged off either but if it's a choice between getting Sterling and winning the league next season or getting one over on the dippers, I'd rather just get Sterling.

I can't honestly see Soriano and Txiki just bowing down to "the mighty Liverpool" and over paying on a player.

We will have set a limit, be it £40m or £45m.

These guys are more experienced in playing in the big league than John fucking Henry.

I don't understand why they didn't accept that 40 millions offer, it was a very good one for a player that wants to leave and that it's still a project, a very promising one indeed but still, now they would have the money for a new striker and concentrate on next season without distractions. Is 10 millions really worth all of this ?
