haha ignored? I think you City fans memories only go as far back when it suits you. They were already leaks that Sterling felt undervalued. And to be honest I have no problem Rodgers letting the fans know that a player has been offered contract and we're not going to be held to ransom by the agent who is clearly driving this. Having said this the behaviour of ward and sterling is inexcusable. Stuff like "Even if Liverpool offered him 900k per week we still wouldn't accept it". Very classy! The way they have handled this is inexcusable. I mean fancy faking an illness and refusing to go on tour.

Isn't his agent threatening to take the Mirror to court to prove he never said that?

Now this morning, we have the bastion of loyalty talking from his new club about how professional Jordan Henderson is. If Arsenal, Chelsea, Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern Munich were remotely interested in Henderson, do you think he'd be so loyal?

not on your life kevster

There is no hypocrisy at all. And Rodgers didn't say he had to sign just that he had been made a very good offer. Both sides have to take responsibility but I just love how you guys are putting it all on the club. Like I said in your eyes Ward and Sterling have done absolutely nothing wrong with the way this has been played out. It's laughable really. Only Cty fans think this!

What's wrong with refusing to extend your contract?

The wild-eyed reaction to this proposed transfer from all involved with "Liverpool FC" has made me wonder if the "FC"stands for Freakish Cult. A new Reality TV show beckons...
Sterling's Going Scouse-Amish.

i haven't said that at all, both parties are to blame to see the situation we have today
what's your take on all these ex-players vilifying and character assassinating the lad? fair game?
you know and i know rodgers made it known about the contract situation because sterling wouldn't sign, so public pressure was brought to bear
there was no need to do this, it could of been kept in house

Liverpool have acted like the classless club they are by hanging sterling out to dry.
And for his part if he dosnt want to be there sterling should put in a written transfer request .

And you're downplaying Liverpools role and putting 99% at the feet of Sterling and Ward.

Maybe the reason you feel that City fans arent criticising hus actions is that you're putting 99% of the blame on him and people are responding by pointing out that Liverpool are far from blameless as well.

So you dont think it hypocritical to state that you feel it is good that Rodgers discusses contract negotiations but not Sterling

I dont see many on here saying the Sterling/Ward have done nothing wrong but what I have seen is them reacting to situations not creating them

whats wrong? i`ll tell you whats wrong with not extending the contract, mass services will have to be held in liverfool, extra candles will have to be made, question will be asked in the house and the lords too if they could wake the fuckers up,how dare those upstarts from manchester city going about a bid in a decent and orderly manner,i mean the chaos it will cause, theyll have to give out extra crisis loans just to handle the grief, thats why marvin my son, thats why,now light a fucking candle and give it to sniffling fucking sizzler
