We should just have the kids as homegrown because there isn't one English player worthy of a first 11 spot.
you're an idiot if you think Cahill, Carrick Shaw, Walcott or Sturridge, Stones would be an automatic choice for our first 11.A. said:TonyM said:Every time I see him he is average. No better than Navas. We need a genuine threat not another nearly man.

He's 20 years old! Despite his indifferent form recently, he has 7 goals this season; Navas has 4 in three league seasons in his prime.
Not one English player worthy of the first 11? Baines, Terry, Cahill, Rooney, Carrick, Kane, Sturridge, Stones, Wilshere, Shaw, Walcott and Sterling, IF fit, would all walk into our starting 11, while young talents like Ibe, Berahino, Barkley, Grealish and Hughes could all be useful squad players immediately, becoming established first team players within a few years.
Our kids have talent but not many of them will realistically make it; we have to cherry pick the best talent from other clubs.

I didn't follow him way back then but I expect he is a hell of alot better than a 20 year old Navas.
