Arguing with a rag who tweeted they produce lots more homegrown players than city and never buy success.....I asked how many of current team are homegrown and were not bought....this was his reply....now I am not sure if he was being serious but I think he was

@daz_blue @BenjaminWillsSJ Smalling, Jones, Rooney, Carrick, Young! So 5/11 more than most

How did he take the news when he found out that they actually were bought?

7 i believe

Hope he gets 7 but think it would be 31. Either way, this is the first time in a long time im going for a name on my kit (that isnt Kun), Sterling or if we get Pogba, too tempting to resist

£44m for one of the best young England internationals who from what I've seen over the past few years is top class is a fair price.

Shaw cost United £30m and Di Maria who was unproven in PL and flopped £53m.

At least he knows the league well and there isn't much of a gamble.

If Liverpool thought he was shite would it have caused this much of a stir? The answer is no they are gutted.

Happy days get him in the team supplying balls for Sergio.

The fact we can now take Liverpool's top players off them is a big statement.

I don't think he's worth 49m, but I didn't think Tevez would be all that for us, and I certainly didn't think Aguero would be better than Tevez. I'd no clue who Kompany was and never thought he'd turn out as he did. I thought Bellamy was a questionable buy and fell in love with him.

All that matters now is that he's ours. That we back him, and help him win things for us. If we win nothing with him, then we can all come back a few years down the line and have a moan (and we will), and if we win things with him, we won't even think to look back at his fee. That's the name of the game, it always was, and always will be.

We can't judge the success of this transfer until his career with us ends.

I was replying to the rag who mentioned about Kane and us offering 140m for him.
Okay, but be honest. Read your post back to yourself. And acknowledging that you didn't include the comments you were supposedly replying to; how do you think your post looked/sounded to someone who didn't know what you were referring to? Also; "fans" with a similar low post count to yours (given how long you've been on here) would raise suspicions.

This lad will be amazing. Give him time and he will be ripping defences open alongside silva and aguero

Im not spinning anything. £49million you paid for him. What football fan in the country thinks hes worth £49million? Ask any football fan from other teams if they think hes worth that.

And at the end of the day from the 2 clubs involved, we dont think hes worth £49million, and neither do you guys! Let be absolutely honest.

Neither your fans or our fans think hes worth that.
And what we paid for him bothers you because...............
