Has anyone in the media stated that it boils down to a kid leaving Liverpool because they aren't a top 4 club.

Finished in CL in 1 of the last 6 seasons. Finished in the CL 5 of the previous 6 seasons. United, Arsenal, Chelsea have all slipped and recovered. Liverpool's chances to capitalise on these have gone. They are finished , bar the odd cup.

Why anyone in the media would expect their best English talent to remain outside the CL consistently is beyond me.
