I'm worried that Real's interest in Sterling may be strategic. They may think that by going for our main target they will get some leverage in a deal for Aguero.
We should call their (and possibly Liverpool's )bluff and stick with a solid offer. I don't believe Sterling is good enough for the money that is being quoted. Sterling's biggest asset is that he is English.
And that's an asset we desperately need, and we need a good english player for once, not some shit who ends up in the bench, and never plays an actual part.

I think Sterling is better than navas and has something only aguero uses, take ons. We need a winger who actually beats a man. We have the money and totally needs HG players.

... and I agree. But I don't think Real will pay the extra because he is English. I think the (alleged) bid may be more strategic...

Yes, I have already said on this thread that I think we should get him. There are not many English players who could make our first eleven. Sterling is one of them but because he is English his worth is greater to an English team.
My point (and maybe I should have made it in the Aguero thread) is that Real's interests may be more sinister.

His signing would be just perfect for us really. Don't see somebody who could be as useful as him and was able to be signed by us. He's homegrown, he's young, he has played well in PL and would add a lot to our team.
If we sign Firmino or Barkley for a huge fee, it would likely to be another failure or a stagnated player with big wages holding us down as hesitant manager and/or the management, Tixi whosoever won't get rid of him.

Well if they want him, 200m or Benz, bale, modric, carva and Varane plus 50m atleast

Guillem Balague reporting that Real Madrid have absolutely no interest in Sterling. This means that City remain in pole position.

Bloody shame. I wouldn't be seen having a drink with him, let alone want him in our football club.
