The Sterling to Madrid stuff has been reported by di Marzio who is far more reliable than Balague. That's not to say it will happen. I still would be surprised if Liverpool weren't pushing the Sterling to Madrid/ Bayern stuff as the last thing they want to do is sell to an English club.

If Real Madrid want him, then he will be going there. In terms of pulling power they are unrivalled in world football.

In that respect to them every single club is a "selling club". Benitez knows Sterling well and he will advise Zidane and Perez that he will strengthen the squad with his skill, pace and vision.

The only thing that would stop that happening is Sterling himself. He may well be determined to remain a Premier League player. Liverpool would not like that.

The way Bale has been treated by some of the fans and the way it's run as the "Ronaldo" show,it's enough to put anyone off.
He'll stay in England IMO.

'Balague' must be Spanish for 'Blagger'; he is an absolute charlatan, who's stealing a living being paid for his Iberian 'insight'. In the past few years every player/coach who's doing fairly well in Spain, we have 'approached' them according to him. You could ask him about Real Madrid allegedly wanting Aguero, and he'd still tell you that we are also interested in him.

Benitez will be looking to reshape Real this summer, making them a more direct, dynamic attacking force and Sterling fits the bill. I can't see him letting Isco go either; he loves his Spanish players, as the way he's colonised every club he's been at shows. He'll likely go with a 4-2-3-1 with Ronaldo up top, Bale and another quick winger either side, and Isco in between them all, playing a similar role to that of Aimar in Rafa's title winning Valencia team. One player who may be deemed sellable is James Rodriguez, an interesting option for us if the price is right.

Well it's a reshape job and giving the money 30m for Isco may as well let him go as he ain't gonna be a starter next season either. Sterling is this still a question but I don't belie a anything until I've heard a reliable report it. Time will tell. Sterling inst gonna play ahead of roro or bale, perhaps even Jese as he just keeps developing.

He may love Spanish players, but he'd be fool to play Isco and not James. It will be interesting because Perez likes his shiny new toys and wants them to be played.

I'm worried that Real's interest in Sterling may be strategic. They may think that by going for our main target they will get some leverage in a deal for Aguero.
We should call their (and possibly Liverpool's )bluff and stick with a solid offer. I don't believe Sterling is good enough for the money that is being quoted. Sterling's biggest asset is that he is English.
