If Real Madrid sign Varratti...cant see them going after Sterling as well...

Real Madrid have reportedly agreed a contract with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti, but not a price with his club.

A fee of €50m has been mooted, AS say, and Verratti has been offered a package worth €7m a season by Los Blancos.

The contract would run for an undetermined length of time but PSG are considered unlikely to agree to sell the Italy international.

It’s not known either if new Madrid Coach Rafa Benitez feels midfield is a priority area to strengthen but Verratti is thought to be keen to player under the ex-Napoli trainer.

Officiell statement, they don't want him

Guardian reporting Sterling has told United he's open to joining them and would like to work under turtle.

Liverpool would rather give us Sterling for free over selling to United for whatever fee.

Liverpool will never sell to United in the PL era and vice-versa.

I wouldn't rule out the rags bidding big, though, and raising the stakes for the other runners. They showed last year they're prepared to chuck a lot of money around to buy fourth place.

Then if we want him we have to respond! Outbid the scumbags and sign him!

Nailed on to City now i reckon. Just like with the rest of our signings, the papers will be able to write that the player wanted United but City offered most wages and the player is a mercenary

Remember the Nasri signing. He wanted Utd apparently according to the papers so it was used as a stick to beat us with. Mangala wanted Chelsea etc etc etc
