I'm not sure that is entirely correct - Sterling has told the scousers he wants City and City only. We have shown him he love and future. The scousers have tried to whore him to Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea but as he wants City - there is no point of the others joining in and are starting to distance themselves. The biggest fuck up is how this has been played out in the media by the scousers.

Don't shoot the messenger but I only know this as my mate has a corporate ST for the scousers and does some business with the sponsors.

He won't accept it mate. Liverpool fans still think it's the 80s when they were a big club. The idea that any player would want to leave them and go to a club who they still think is inferior to them, is one that is completely alien to them.

Why would arsenal try do business with you after Suarez? Where does he play for them, who do they drop? They are stacked in that area.

Chelsea. If schurle, Mata and KDB didn't work under Jose, what makes you think he would buy Sterling? Plus Jose historically won't use young English players regardless of talent...how do you think Sturridge ended up at Liverpool?

Sterling is phenomenal. I think he is far better than most of the football watching public even know. I watched him quite a bit at youth level and I have never seen a player with his kind of talent at that level. The team was utter shit around him last season so no wonder he struggled. People in the game know just how good the kid can be which is why the kind of figures been thrown around are getting thrown around. If you think Arsenal/Chelsea wouldn't love to have him and aren't monitoring things then that is just silly. It does look though like City will outprice everyone and best of luck if you do.

I'm not sure what is so funny? He is a London lad and it has been no secret that he and his family would love to return to London. Look money talks but if he had a choice between City and one of the London clubs he would choose London in a shot. It is why City are having to bid so high to try and secure him as talk Arsenal/Chelsea were interested with Sterling wanting a move to Arsenal but the prohibitive price has meant City may be his only choice.

Do you know where they have got this from? Because Alexis Sanchez went to Arsenal and the Liverpool PR office couldn't think of anything else so pumped out numerous stories about how modern Northern clubs like Liverpool aren't as attractive as London clubs. Why would Liverpool care about doing business with City? Our owners have turned us into a selling club which will do business with the highest bidder. If that is City, I doubt they care who the buying club is. Some of the posts here are just plain weird.

It has only just turned 10am in Boston which is where the money men will be deciding. I also think they probably want to see if any other fish jump in the pond if it looks like they are deliberating.
