My opinion is that this summer the smartest thing we can do is NOT compromise on the quality of players we want even if it means having to be aggressive and overpaying.

Totally agree. The sellers know it and we will be exploited as a result, but we have to do what we have to do.

great post , we have signed some average squad players like fernando , sagna , caballero , when we should have kept richards , milner and signed butland instead of caballero , even adam johnson was as good if not better than navas . But now we will end up paying 50m for sterling probably 30m for delph and possibly 35m for wilshire , and none of these players will improve our squad sufficiently to worry the rent boys next season or trouble bayern, barca or real in the champs league. But if we spent the above 115m on "foreign" players like De Bruyne , Pogba and Isco we would have a great chance of winning trophies next season .Despite winning the league in 2014 , the club has been mis managed regarding transfer dealings since Mancini left the club.
Adam Johnson better than Navas? We tried to keep Richards and milner we offered them contracts of over £100k a week, they signed for lesser clubs to have guaranteed football. De bryne wasn't actually much good in the prem last time he was around and Isco may well not do great in the prem, would reckon he need a season (love to have him though) but you know with Wilshere and Sterling they have performed in the league we compete in. Anyway Wilshere and Delph talk is all bollocks anyway, its only Sterling we want and we replacing are 4th striker with a home grown more than likely so takes need for another overpriced homegrown player in that posistion
