Whether he's right or wrong, it's yet another example of things that can possibly be going on that we don't know about, which makes these recurring 'why didn't we just pay 'x' 3 weeks ago ?' type posts completely unanswerable.

Agreed. I'm not flapping, but I would question whether these deals have panned out exactly how we might have hoped. Sure all is under control, BUT, I imagine we would have wanted at least 1 key signing in before pre-season. Still a month to go until the season, but the manager will certainly want his players for the tour.
I am slightly surprised no deal has been confirmed yet, and the player with us. Again, not suggesting that we haven't got things under control - just things may not have played out as we expected/hoped.
