Just posted on the rag thread in gen football forum about rags looking to sign 4 more ( in talks with 3) .......after pig farmer..... Chelsea have been as quiet as us so far, so have Arsenal....it is like we are all waiting for the rags to finish then the top 3 start, is this a rule Gill has brought in ? :)

Undisclosed fee will be announced, but I believe it'll be in the region of £42 million with the possibility of another £5 million in add ons dependent on performance related clauses. He
won't be travelling on Liverpools tour but will be staying behind to complete his medical as soon as the green light is given.

Bayern aren't any better than us tbh, I'd feel confident going up against them in the knockouts. Barca will dip soon, or get knocked out by some stuffy team we're capable of beating.

Their midfield battered ours with ten men last season at home.

Had we not had Sergio on top form that day an embarrassment was on the cards.

No, they're just desperate and overpaying for players we wouldn't really bother with.

I actuskl
Our squad is better. Kompany will be right on it from day one whilst Chelsea are over-reliant on a couple of key players.
I think if we keep all our top players fit all season, we will win the league comfortably enough. But we don't seem able to.

Can't be losing Kompany, Toure, Nasri, Silva and Aguero for 2 months or so like we always seem to do.

Hahahaha people call me negative. What do they call you?? But too optimistic that. Bayern are planets ahead of us

Sounds good. 42 makes sense to me. Where did you get this from?

Of course they are. That's why we've bloodied their noses twice in the last two seasons. Bayern are at the same level as ourselves, Madrid, Chelsea and others. Right now Barca are miles ahead of that group.

I really hope so mate, but I just don't know what to believe anymore.

What utter shite we are a rung or 2 down the ladder from those clubs

Barca battered us, not just Messi, absolutely domination it was.

Had Hart not had the game of his career we would have lost by at least 5.
All those one on ones came towards the end of the second leg when we were chasing the game, bar that Messi made the difference. Stop listening to pundits and watch the bloody games again.

I've already said that I wouldn't do it for Sterling purely because I don't see the attraction to him, but we obviously want him enough, so what's the point in us posturing over £5m?

Maybe because that £5m is the difference between an acceptable price for a player and an unacceptable price.

At the end of the day we have to ask ourselves do we want to reach the next level or not? Do we walk away from sterling de Bruyne and pogba for the sake of 5m each and take the plan bs who are plan b for a reason or do we use the resources we clearly have and push through and strengthen immensely?
