That was my point mate.
Yeah was agreeing hah. I think your right, we do offer a contract because we have to protect our investment but if nothing happens in Jan then I think a summer exit will happen. We will need to know whats happening.

We of all fans should realise its possible to attract players when we too did't initially look an attractive prospect. Newcastle also have a PL title in their not too distant history. If we did it so too can they.

Robinho, tevez, silva, toure, aguero, etc etc etc.

i think manchester city was the last club with no rules in spending and signing players until FFP ?
the book is now closed because the so called elite clubs fear personal wealth. but we have seen Leicester city doing it with a middle of the road investment and no marquee signings so never say never.

newcastle have to be very clever if they want to play with the big boys and spend money.
look at it as a long term project and invest in youth build new stands or a new stadium of 65.000 or more.

but because of poor management and chairman the biggest investment will be in staying up and short term.
this will kill them for me because if they spend £200million or more right now then FFP will be watching and the gap in revenue and spending will need to be in place and newcastle will have their hands tied

Eh?!!! Their last league title was in 1926/27. That was 95 years ago

Nothing you say there backs up your original post where you said he'd been shit for 2 years.
Is he poor now? Yes. Does he need to move on? Yes. Has he been terrible for 2 years? No.
That’s a matter of opinion, but if I’m wrong on the time frame then fair enough. Maybe due to the frustrations of watching Sterling recently feels like 2 years.

Hes on about 200k flat wage. Most of the bigger contracts were moved to incentive heavier when he signed the last deal.
Speaking generally, you'll find that full contracts include bonuses, loyalty payments etc on top of the 'flat wage'. These provide an incentive for players to stay at the club and not ask for a transfer.
If we sell a player without them putting in a request, normal practice would be to pay or negotiate an amount to compensate for bonuses etc.
I think you'd find that the average weekly figure over Raheem's full contract would be a lot closer to £350k than £200k.
Either way, it's a ridiculous amount, particularly for a player who has done very little over this season to justify getting even £350.00 a week.
