He just deserves our respect for what he has done. He has helped us to win trophies and grow as a club, scoring and assisting more than anyone bar Aguero. He isn't perfect, and feels it's time to move on, and that's okay; how many of us want to stay with the same employer for all our career?More than the odd sitter however he is far from a villain. As city clearly feel too it’s time for a fresh start for all involved. He could have stuck it out, still started for England as Southgate loves him then got a healthy signing on next year. He’s getting us a fee and probably more game time for himself, whilst moving back to his home. London.

Sterling did a great job for us. And I will respect him for that in stark contrast to the way the dippers handled his transfer to us.
Yet I think it is time for him to get a new challenge. I have the impression both club and player want him to make the decision to leave. Than again, and very similar to Jesus, if Sterling ends up with us for another season I won’t mind that one bit.
