Given he has 18 months left on his contract, I think there is more and more chance of him running it down and goes for free for a mega salary/signing on fee from new club with zero transfer fee.

clearly once heavily rotated and kind of lost his regular starting spot due to form he will not sign any renewal and his form generally hardly a reason for him to be a regular starter ahead of Foden for example.
