Raheem Sterling | Joins Chelsea for £50m

Sometimes I wonder if we are imagining things on BM but a quick trip over to the Chelsea forums reveals another level of “what the hell is going on” so it’s not just us that think this is taking an age.

Not from my side mate.
To be clear, I'm in the camp that is deeply grateful for so many fantastic and even ecstatic moments with Raz in sky blue, but since a while he didn't perform the way I would expect - and here we are. The story just has 2 sides and I am able to see and accept both of them.

Couldn't resist the joke though.
Raz leaving would be fine with me and I wish him all the best, even against us. We still have enough to beat them then.
 
Its been said by loads on here, I will thank him for what he has done, he has been a big part of the best ever English team over the last few years, but for some reason (possibly no centre forward being in the team) his form has not been what it was over the last 18mths or so. I thought when he had his 30 goal season he and KDB were the only 2 who could walk into ANY team in the world, but since then his levels have dropped. He still offers pace and directness and can still add a fair few goals and assists but with the contract offer being on the table for so long its now time to move on and wish him well before we lose him for nothing. I think he will do well at Chelsea and will be dangerous to play against, but I fear for him that their (Chelsea) own lack of a focal point (CF) will show his "weaknesses" the same as we are seeing at the moment. Good luck Raz (when its finally done and not against City) I hope its the right move for you
 
Set to be announced Wednesday it seems,if true, Thanks Raheem lad, gave us countless moments of joy and countless moments of frustrations (wayward finishing especially the Lyon one). Best of luck except against us.
 
FINALLY

Raheem Sterling to Chelsea, here we go! Final approval arrived from Man City. £45m fee plus £10m add-ons. Personal terms agreed days ago, it was never an issue. It’s done CFC Contract until 2027 plus option for further year.

It is a little bit strange seeing Raheem Sterling in a Chelsea shirt but it is for the best long term for us to cut him loose
