Random City Players

Nery Castillo. Thought he was going to take us to the big time alongside Rolando Bianchi. Injured on his debut for us at West Ham in the cup iirc - was there that day and my dreams went off with him. Only for a few more years thankfully!

John guidetti, thought he'd be a good option for us after seeing him in the youth team but only made 1 appearance in the league cup iirc

Also had hopes for Guidetti at the time. especially after his hugely successful loan spell at Feyenoord, even if Dutch league is not the strongest. Seemed to have a few injury issues with us and as we started to seriously challenge he got left behind.

Caicedo: Not too many games but did score several decent goals when needed. Played for Ecuador in the World cup after (so did Jo for Brazil but that's another story). Also John Clay for his one and only game in the 67/68 title winning team (lost 2-0 at home to a decent West Brom side).

Tim Flowers is always the first person I think of when I see posts like this.
Honestly, don't think it counts if they never actually played.

Remember Loris Karius, Adrien Rabiot and Larry Kayode at City?

Me neither because they never played a minute.

Underrated player IMO. Proper number 9.

(Caicedo that is, no idea on John Clay)

I do get what your saying but those comparisons aren't realistic.

Kayode was never even at the club I don't think he ever even wore a City shirt he was a CFG signing, Rabiot was 12/13 years old & Karius was in the youth team. Tim Flowers was in the first team squad & sat on the bench for us in the Premier league.

Fair enough. Karius appeared for the first team in pre-season though tbf. Think Rabiot was closer to 16 - might be wrong. But still, fair enough.

Few pearls in there:
Gai Assulin
Karim Rekik (or his brother Kasim)
Abdul Razak
Joan Roman
Ahmed Benali

Had high hopes for the lot of em. Shame.

Stuart Lee. He came. did nowt. Buggered off to play most of his career in the states. A classic signing from Stockport County.
