Mike Stewall ? Goal keeper on loan from 1st division Everton
Made his debut for us Blackburn away...
Not the Hillsborough day..
The season before that..when away fans were on the side terrace..
I remember the toilets were not ...operating as they should...I recall rivers of piss cascading down the the small away side terrace...
I also remember a shot from their top goal scorer..Simon garner
A weak pathetic shot from the edge of the area, which bobbled in
through the hands of our new keeper...very early 1st half..
Still remember " Scouse bastard!!" being shouted as the ball rolled in to the net....
What a start for a new Keeper....I remember he did well in matches after that, but what a debut typical City

Mike Stowell - after his loan stint with us became a bit of a Wolves legend and their number 1 for a good ten years.

Perry Suckling
Thanks for correction. I think we had a few loan keepers around that time . 3 in total in a short space of time
I can't remember the other one but I'm pretty sure they came on loan from Everton and thinking about it Perry suckling came from palace iirc

Stowell i remember was decent with us looked a confident keeper and I remember him being popular at wolves afterwards.

Id liked to remember who our 3 loan keepers were that season.its annoying me now.

It’s not a correction
Apologies
I was just adding another random keeper

When we got andy Morrison, didn't we also get an Everton player on loan, both made there debuts against Oldham i think. We kept Andy Morrison but the Everton player went back. If I remember he was a fast tricky winger.

For older Blues ...Colin Viljoen. Ex England international, and a member of a very good Ipswich Town side of the mid to late 70s
I've never heard a single Blue fan mention him in all my days following them so I imagine he was past his sell by date by the time he got to Maine Road...

Bobby Mimms had a loan spell with us.
That's him!! Thanks was driving me mad. It was him at Blackburn for his debut who let the soft shot from Simon garner in the opening minutes. He went down to collect it, ball hobbled and bounced over his hand into the net ,iirc.
The away end were not happy.....
