It seems strange that points gained in qualifying count: surely teams that gain automatic qualification should get something. Also, Rangers picked up a lot of points in the Thursday League last season and it seems odd these points count when assigning pots for the Champions League.
 
Van Bronckhorst sacked.

Michael Beale is the bookies favourite, for what that’s worth. Would be funny though if Emery does well at Villa and Beale gets Rangers winning. Gerrard would be lucky to get the Tranmere job.
