The first sign of promising players coming through elsewhere in the league and they're taken for peanuts and benched for a couple of years and eventually any potential talent is wasted, time and time again. To develop themselves they would require to develop others too, and that's something they're unwilling to do. I don't blame them particularly, if they see money as theirs then so be it, but just know that they won't get the opportunity to kick on as they should unless they start to take a longer term approach for the good of the Scottish game and not just themselves.

Honestly mate I don't see it happening.

As I said in my post, i don't particularly blame the old firm for wanting to keep the pie for themselves, its theirs after all and so longs they're playing by the rules then they've no obligation to do anything for anyone else.

But in order to better themselves then Scottish football as a whole needs to be bettered and they're the ones in anything like a position to make that happen. But then when Rangers and Celtic fans are critical of their own boards for not investing properly in their own team, then they're hardly likely to invest in helping other clubs. Ultimately it's a pipe dream, but it really would take people with more entrepreneurial vision and willing to take initial sacrifices to make it work.

The new sky TV deal is the latest example of the sport up here being short changed and everyone just accepting that's the way it is, laughable.

Surley there must be a scottish manager who instils the inner begbie into his players who's better thank von bratwurst or whatever hes called.

And yet Rangers I think we're the only club to oppose the new Sky deal because they feel it was short changed.

Oh, I agree, it needs to be competitive.

It's a joke the new tv deals, and I'm not surprised Rangers were against it, even if they were looking out for themselves.

Agree but Scottish football is a hard sell.
Not sure how much more they could have got but the clubs should have stuck together to at least try to get more money from the TV companies.
