On his post-match phone-in, Collymoron was asking people to call in and rate their season.

And while I didn't ring in (I was driving), it set me thinking. I would give ours 8/10.

No trophies, but we finished second in the Premier League, got out of the group in the Champions' League and didn't disgrace ourselves against Barcelona. Indeed, our result against them was better than either PSG or Bayern.

What do others think?
I'm an 8 too, and 8 is a disappointment these days, but there are still pluses for me, 26 league goals for Sergio, leagues top scorers. Beating united by 9 points, especially after they had 'beaten' us only 6 weeks ago according to their fans (since the derby City 18 points, united 5).

What did you rate last season?
10, you ?

3/10

Poor transfer windows, ittle impact from the signings, we often looked lost. We never really pushed Chelsea, expected them to win it from the first few weeks. Still no great moments in Europe.

On the positive side, a run of form at the end of the year avoided potentially falling out of 4th.

Verdict: mostly shit

I'd choose another sport if I where you
You're so boring, policing the thread like some Chinese government agent. We get it, the season wasn't so bad for you. For others, it was a piss poor season.

You don't need to reply to every disappointed fan in this thread. Give it a rest superfan, nobody gives a shit

Not read the whole thread but for me it's a 5. Bang average. Some games the lads have slogged their guts out but then in others they've surrendered so docilely. Lost my son to Barcelona this season,he's 8 and hes adamant. All because of the Stoke defeat at home. That fucked his head up

I would say 6/10. I think at times we have shown flashes of brilliance such as roma away but at the same time we have put together yet another weak title defence. Our defending has been really poor all year and I feel that the last few weeks has papered the cracks. Having said all that we have finished second and still have some great players who are capable of better things. With the right business done in the summer then I see no reason for us to push for more silverwear next season.

A 6 for me.

Your boy is 8. I assume he's your oldest. Mine's 10. I'm a Yank, but here are my rules: I told him he has till age 12 to figure it out, but then he picks a side in each sport and that's it. No shifting after that. I think I've lost him to Palace (!) but my daughter is 9 and there will never be any other side but City.

I could have lived with coming second if we had ever made a effort to defend our title. as for the domestic cups, a disgrace is how I'd describe it. don't let the last 6 games cloud your judgement. We never looked like winning anything. you must remember 40 points is not our target now. Twice that and more is what we need to be aiming for.

Well we did get 79 points, which is only 1 point less than this target of points you think we should be getting....

The last six games haven't clouded my overall opinion of the season and I'm giving it a 6.3. Not gonna bore you all with why, because I don't have to.

6 or 7 out of 10 for me.

This good run in recent weeks has papered over the cracks of the overall season a bit in my opinion.

The league campaign at times was at times shockingly bad for a team of our quality, we only put two consistent runs of form together with the first being around December and the second in recent weeks pretty much when all the pressure was off us to win the league.

CL campaign was poor, how we got out of the group I will never know considering the performances of the first 4 games.

Cup games were awful.

He's my youngest! I hope that remains the case, love babies but no more. I've had a word with him but don't want to press the issue. That loss to Stoke really did p**s him off! Too young to know better I suppose
