Re: Kompany's red card and appeal? (merged)

Re: whoever represents us at the appeal

Look at the reaction of Giggs as well who carried on playing. Didn't the FA a while back also say that waving cards in refs faces will result in that player receiving a card. If Foy is going on about the letter of the law well he got that wrong as he did about the Evra elbow on Richards, the Giggs tackle on Sergio, Carrick continuously fouling and the Jones handball. Oh and just to even things out Kolarov gave away another penalty he didn't give. Nearly forgot for the penalty Wellshit was asking for a card as well (he was dragged away by his own players) so he shold have had another card........I though the FA were bent when they didn't rescind the sending off of the Wolves player so I don't hold out much hope. However if as has been said somewhere else Foy has admitted it should have been a yellow then we have a chance.

could you please ask the following two questions
1) watch the reaction of the player tackled, he gets up to try and win the ball back so its obvious he doesnt think its a foul ( and he is one of the best divers in the country)

2) show them the video of rooney kicking and kicking at the newcastle defender the other month and ask which is more dangerous and what was the outcome to that assault

outcome should be pretty easy from there (if only)
...and take a video of the two
footed lunge by giggs from behind on aguero that could have shattered his ankle and ask them to explain why there wasn't even a card shown.

I come in peace as a Chelsea supporter. Many of us have lodged complaints with the FA about Foy's apalling decisions. This red carding of Kompany is another in a series of mistakes on the part of Foy. He is a disgrace to the Premier League. He should not be allowed to referee another top flight game this seasion nor any other season. This guy has been demoted in the past for his mistakes but still continues to referee big games. I hold the FA responsible for this sad state of affairs and urge all you City fans and friends to flood the FA with your complaints. Eventually they will get the message if we persist in lodging complaints. After all we the fans are the ones who contributw to this SOB's salary.

Re: whoever represents us at the appeal

I think its right to appeal. Even though Im convinced it will get turned down, its still the right decision as it could help future cases. The FA has similar thinking of refs, if he makes a decision, even if he knows its wrong, he will not admit it. But he will make it up to you later. So basically correcting a wrong with another wrong

Re: whoever represents us at the appeal

Neither of your points has any baring on whether Kompany should have been sent off or not.

It's not about what the player tackled does, it's about what the player tackling does. And all incidents should be looked at in isolation.

Re: whoever represents us at the appeal

If the referee states that with hindsight he wouldnt have deemed the tackle to be a red card offence then it will be rescinded. If he doesn't it won't.

Quite simple really.

While we have to accept all refs make mistakes, he seems to have made more than most recently. There was your game at QPR and the Stoke v Spurs game, where he missed the most blatant handball imaginable. But it's not just him is it?

Clattenburg, who gift wrapped a Merseyside derby for Liverpool a few seasons ago then was actually sacked before being re-instated. He failed to give us a clear penalty at your place.

Mike Jones, who gave the Sunderland "beach ball goal" against Liverpool, depsite it being a clear breach of the law that disallows goals deflected off objects not part of the field of play. We had him for the league game v Liverpool a few days ago and he sent Barry off for two silly but innocuous fouls yet failed to book Adam & Skrtel for a string of offences, one of which he even caqlled the Liverpool captain over tohave a word with Adam.

Atwell, who doesn't even know the difference between a goal and the ball going wide and hasn't got any better since that howler.

Peter Walton, another shit ref who completely lost control of a game recently (might have been one of yours).

one thing that has been overlooked in all this, is despite vinny being on the end of some shocking reffing, and mock card waving gamemanship (which i thought was an instant yellow), he took the decision like a man, and calmly walked off, imagine if the boot was on the other foot.

proud to have vinny has our captain, and proud of the way our players conducted themselves.
