Just looked at the Spearing one again and agree 100%
I think the main difference between the 2 tackles is that Vinny wins the ball with his right leg and his left one comes round in like a scissor motion. If memory serves me correct, Spearing won the ball with 2 feet and the player (Dempsey i think) rolled around on the floor for ages like he'd been shot.

The FA's website for players suspened in the premiership lists Vincent Kompany,banned for from 8/1/2012 to 25/1/2012 for the duration of 4 games.
Is this prior to appeal or have the FA updated there website that quick???

Are you sure about the 5 games,sure i heard they cant increase it as its already a 3+1 for a previous red.

Only if they deem it a frivolous appeal and if they do we may as well quit now and give Utd the trophey. Wonder who is on the 3 man panal deciding today, keane, beckham and Charlton?

the extra game isn't mandatory. only if the appeal is considered 'frivolous'. but knowing our luck...
