reading tickets selling fast {merged}

Don't know if posted but...
On Oxfordshire Radio it has just said Reading have requested more tickets, so the third tier may yet still go to them (come on city you know it makes sense).
And their Chairman is paying for coach travel for all Reading ticket holders!!
That's got to add to their spirits on a big day out.

Looking on a Reading forum, they are going for NS L2 tickets now, can hardly blame them

good on them, the club wont give us what we want so the fans watch on tv, might aswell let the reading fans watch the match

this game could have easily sold out, reading could and should have sold another 3500, and we would be looking at selling the final 7/8000 tickets.

if selling the dearer 25 pound tickets is all city are interested in, instead of filling the ground then we are very small time.

reading still could have a top tier, each one holds approx 6000, why not relocate their south stand allocation into the top tiers, close off the front 2/3 rows, give them another 1700 tickets or so, and let them have unreseved seats, it would give them more tickets, and improve the gate.

it can be done, because it happened v poznan.

this has just shown how out of touch the decision makers are.

Fuck that. The SS are happy where they are and it was Readings fault not City's that they didn't take the higher allocation.

It is also far too short notice to move the SS and open the 3rd tier like that.

try reading, instead of jumping in.

They need at least an accesscard....and it'll be a bit suspect if loads of tickets get ordered for Reading postcode/addresses.

They are on open sale and its piss easy to register on line. Not sure what they're doing about Berkshire addresses but they seem to be managing

Even by City standards this is an epic cock-up, and will be even worse if they now decide they'd rather sell tickets to away fans rather than maximising the home support.

Can't do due to where the away coaches are etc. Club have said that at umpteen fans forums.

Poznan game was different. 3rd tier east stand was polish neutrals apparently

Would be ironic if the Reading fans were successful in getting tickets out of our ticket office while a number of Blues weren't

Whi is Citys cock up - Reading said they couldn't sell more than 2,800 - I'm surprised they've sold that many - according to their own website they have on'y averaged 600/800 aways fans all season.
