Real Madrid (A) Post Match Thread

Shit finishing at 2-0 up at home with Mahrez and Foden’s shit efforts which should have out the tie to bed there and then.

Shit game managements at the end of the game tonight where we should have seen the game out.

We said to Madrid, “go on then…” and we laid it on a plate for them through poor finishing and poor mentality.
 
Surely someone should be lodging a complaint vs the official tonight .... 3 mins!!! and did Casemerio get booked at all, i mean there was at least 4 bookable challenges he did and .... nada.
 
Over the two legs the lack of defenders for the first match cost us. With Walker and Cancelo we win that game by two or three clear goals and the tie is over (if followed with a similar performance to tonight).

I hope at some point we get a game where the opposition doesn’t kick crap out of us, or a ref who has the inclination to enforce the rules of the game including yellow and red cards. The Casemiro non-bookings tonight were outrageous.

Maybe we need a bit of that about our game. We keep on trying to play football all the time and it creates some fantastic games but if we resort to snide fouls, brutality and cynicism for the last ten minutes, then we win that game.
 
Left early - didn’t fancy being left in after the filth wouldn’t let us go fo a piss before extra time . Pep can piss off for me - time to move on. Thanks he’s been a get but time to take a ne path . Pathetic tonight

The club put people in the position to sign the right players and it’s gone badly wrong. Arrogance of the highest level thinking we are something that we are not

2016-17 Monaco scored 6 against us and we are out(total goals conceded in Comp 16 from 10 games)

2017 -18 Liverpool scored 5 against us and we are out(total goals conceded in comp 12 from 10 games)

2018-19 spurs scored 4 against us and we are out( total goals conceded in comp 10 from 10 games)

2019-20 Lyon scored 3 in one off game and we are out(total goals conceded in comp 9 from 9 games)

The year we should have/looked like we were going to win it apart from that bloody Chelsea game.

2020-2021 13 games played 5 goals conceded and never more than 1 in any game, 8 clean sheets. 25 goals scored.

2021-2022 total goals conceded In comp so far 13 from 10 games.


Definitely nothing to do with how we play defensively in this comp. It’s Mahrez and Fodens fault.

Shame shit year after year in this comp. Concede from great positions and fall apart. Shit game management from pep and the players shitting themselves and lacking basic decision making.

How many years does it take to sink in that you cannot concede this many goals against European opposition. Both games they were gone and we fell apart. Well done all.

Win the fucking league please.

thought similar...all throught eh match Madrid players going mad,,,getting at the crowd for more.....etc etc.....we dont have those players besides Dias and potentially walker and its something we have lost when Kompany left as even Dias and Walker arent on his level.

A real lack of aggression in our team

As bad as that ref performance was, and it was truly horrible, the fact that we just didn't keep the ball away from them even before their first is criminal.

Also, Walker is our most important player defensively

.... they should learn, but for the future,and in this future I don't know if there is a place for sterling, definitely not for old ferna and also for Grealish...im feckin depressed just like some Saturday nights back in 80's.... Ps. I really don't think it was a penalty,and Im not optimistic bout be champions again under those kind of psychology,and without walker, Stones.... Haaland should be there tonight.
 
Unbelievably poor game management after going one up. Cancelo switches off and they score, it was obvious there was going to be at least 5 mins extra time. All we had to do was hold the ball, we normally do the for half the bloody game passing it between the centre backs. All those missed chances in the first leg came back to haunt us. No one has the killer instinct, thought Foden should have got onto the end of that Grealish cross, he just waited for it. Anyway it's done, hope we don't pay a big price at the weekend.
