Real Madrid (A) | Post Match Thread

Rodri speaks to BT. “It is always very tough here … the lads were incredible … they have a lot of quality … the first chance they had they scored an incredible goal … but we kept in the game and stayed with our philosophy … Kevin found the goal and we struggled to keep the ball but at this stadium it is normal … the effort of the lads was incredible … Kevin is a massive player for us … he helped us in the moment we most needed it … he gave us the confidence to keep pushing … it was a good result of us … we knew no matter what happens here it is not the end … we will need the people to support us.”
Why didn't he come out and say they are a bunch of dirty fouling turds?

Our Fringe players better turn up on Sunday at Neverton.

Our first team players badly need a good rest for next Wednesday.

I will go as far as saying one or two fringe players futures might be on the line if they fail to produce on Sunday.

Fuck it up they might never play for us again. If all first teamers are needed to carry us over the line win the League.

They impressed me tbh (despite being ahithouses).

That push on jack into the boards should have been a pen and Kroos on gundo reminded me of scholes on zaba in the cup semi

Home advantage next week is huge tho

Finding some of these comments a bit strange, if you have trust in Pep then trust his process.

Since the change in away goals, Pep seems happy with a draw away.

Today, we moved slowly ensuring all our players where in the position to minimise risk from counters, obviously they got some but they are a great team.

We got hit by a sucker punch and seemed fairly relaxed as 1-0 and I think Pep probably still fancied it. It was as if he would rather take 1-0 then risk for 2-0.

We built up well and attacked when we built up well and players where in the best situation.

We got a goal which was a great and made it a good result.

We then had nerves which was always going to happen after last season, but we took those last few minutes well.

I think Pep will be happy and the team will be happy. We have a result Pep would have took before the game and massively at half time.

We are fully in with a great chance, just need to win at home and worse case we draw then it’s the lottery of penalties, they beat us at Etihad then fair play to them, but this is a big chance to make the final.

You can tell tonight there's gonna be some disagreements between us all so can we all agree on the following:

Our fans were fucking awesome.
The ref is fucking carvajals auntie.
Walker did really well.
Eddie made some important saves.
Every single one of us muttered to ourselves that Kev was having a shitty game before he did what Kev does.
Yup, I'll buy that

Hairy hands is trying to convince himself that the goal should be disallowed as the ball was out, twat.
