We only saw the second half, so I can only base my judgement on that.

I went for Bernardo, with Josko close behind.

Bernie was bizarrely horrendous in the first half mate.

Grealish or Akanji for me, but it was a difficult one to score. Bernie and Rodders got a grip of the game 2nd half, but they were both sufficiently woeful 1st half to mitigate against any prospect of an MotM award. indeed, Rodri’s given the ball away more in the last 4 days than he has in the previous 4 years.

I was so glad that JS played and played well because it saved me having to decide between Jack, Bernie and Phil he’s one of our own Foden!! ;-) :-)

Jack for me. Was under-utilised on the left I thought, given the other flank was proving tricky. Absolutely excelled when he did get the ball, getting a Madrid player suspended in the first minute while setting up the Bernardo free kick, teeing up Gvardiol and protecting the ball while working a hard defensive shift. Takes a decent free kick as well.

Gvardiol is up there - what a goal that was! In fact if he linked up with Grealish a bit more on the left we’d get even better results on that side.

Bernardo worked his backside off even though he gave the ball away a little cheaply at times. Phil again didn’t stop and scored another worldie from a central position. Hope that dead leg heals quickly.
