Very entertaining game and excellent atmosphere in the stadium but how tf do we score 4, miss another 4, allow only 4 attempts against us and go to Madrid only 1 goal in front. Thank god away goals dont count.

That’s not in the laws of the game, I think it changed at the start of the season. I’m not sure if the text you have was ever in the the laws, or if it was just premier league guidance.

It got put in the rules in 2019 and got taken out for this season.

I’ve always thought with the handballs like Laportes though, it’s more deserving of an indirect free kick than a penalty, seems an overly harsh punishment for the crime. Admittedly it’d be a nightmare at times to decide though.

This Madrid team plays in small, huge moments, though, don't they. Like a proper hard hitting boxer in their final match knowing all the tricks in the book. No accident that they've done PSG and Chelsea, I've never seen anything like it.
