I personally thought offensively, Madrid were excellent. Worst than us at the back though. Benzema is a quality player. Top notch finish that.

Put Benzema in that City side, we would have won comfortably. Top quality striker which is what we are crying out for.

He should have headed for the guy with the ball, but our midfield streaming back were also painfully slow. They should have been heading full pelt towards the box.

Just in after a lingering walk home, was far too reflective for my liking….. an incredible spectacle but feels a little subdued in my own head, we had that in the bag and no sugarcoating can ignore it….

we went from the sublime to the ridiculous, making Real Madrid look like Burnley at times, if only we had Walker available, I truly believe we’d of spanked them by 4 clear goals..

Although deflated, we can do it over there but I’m scratching my head, that was an opportunity missed to truly underline we are hands down the best team out there!

Like others say, it really should have been a statement night with us battering a european giant in the later stages. But instead it ended up being a repeat of our home game vs Spurs in the cl couple of years back. Got a feeling we might look at tonight and that liverpool game at the etihad and regret things.

If we go out next week it will be because we lost, and I'll be regretting a loss. Likewise if we lost the league it'll be because we drop points between now and the end of the season, and I'll regret more than drawing to the second best team in the league.

Pretty pissed off here as I tend to be with City top end champions league results maybe PSG last year excepted.
Real were 2 down in ten minutes in disarray and we had loads of chances to put them away but didn’t.We let them in and now it’s anybody’s when the tie should be over.

Just back from the game so not had much chance to read what's already been said.
Brilliant game, should have scored at least a couple more, but for poor finishing. Defensive errors cost us the goals. Next week hopefully we have both full backs starting to give us some defensive speed. Regarding Ederson, Pep needs to have a serious word with him. He was far too casual at times especially in the first half. Not good for my nerves or my heart rate. Thought the flags tonight were great and helped create a good atmosphere. Bring on Wednesday night. Game on.

I said it after the FA cup semi - Fern is done at the top level. When he gets up to top speed he's not far off the pace but whenever he needs to turn and chase he loses 2 / 3 yards to most players now. Against jnr it was 5 / 6 yards. That clear weakness changed the game for us - we had to drop deeper quickly once we lost it and that doesn't suit our style at all.

Great game, very exciting. Thought it was privilege to be there. Great atmosphere despite everything that is apparently wrong with the stadium. Bit crowded coming out after the final whistle not really sure why.

We had 25 shots compared to their 14 over the tie. Got a bit nervy towards the end of the second leg granted but we deserved it overall….
