Real Madrid (H) Ticket Info | SOLD OUT

Response from club regarding criteria for Madrid home game ….

“Thanks for getting in touch.

Please find details below released by the Club regarding the sales criteria for our UEFA Champions League Semi-Final match vs Real Madrid.

The purchase criteria for this match was the same as the criteria for our UEFA Champions League Semi-Final match vs Real Madrid last season, and matched the vast majority of the club’s home matches.
After all Season Ticket Members had been provided with a priority window to purchase a ticket, all Cityzens Matchday Members had the opportunity to purchase one. In line with our ticketing policy for all home matches, Cityzens Matchday Members did not need previous purchase history to be able to buy a ticket.
The only exception to this rule – whether in cup competitions or the league – is when the match is designated as high-risk from a security perspective. This was the case for the Bayern Munich match. As such, fans had to have previously attended one match at the Etihad Stadium to purchase tickets for this match.
Where we have evidence that tickets are listed on third party websites, we will take appropriate action and cancel those tickets. “
That may be the case but did they let anyone buy a membership until right up to point of sale. It’s an even bigger joke that they’re trying to wriggle their way out of it.

I also got the same response and my query was nothing to do with the match criteria!

Even though we've been shafted by the club for the Real home game, if they came out and acknowledged that, and promised to look at a fairer way for the big games next time, we'd take some comfort. But they're sticking to their guns, they believe this was the best way, where for a home champion's league semi-final, newbie Erling fanboys and event tourists have the same ticket entitlement as long standing, long suffering, points accumulating, members!
For season ticket holders, who might feel less than sympathetic to the plight of the Matchday Members, I think they're coming for you next. There's now a big waiting list, complain if you want, but pay up, or some JCL with deeper pockets will take your seat. It's a bit sad, but when money talks, executives listen. When fans talk, only other fans listen. Thanks for listening guys...(sad face)

What a pathetic answer from the club. Nothing in life progresses with the “that’s what we’ve always done, so that’s what we will always do” attitude.

That's an awful lot of words to in effect say 'ooh stick you, your mama too and your daddy'.

Anyone in the cup scheme still not been charged and their mobile ticket is saying Chelsea we were supposed to be charged on the 2nd of May
