Real Madrid Vs Manchester City Post Match Thread

That's the most infuriating thing. We weren't outdone in the end by the better team. We were done by a speculative effort at best, and our captain completely and utterly fucking it right up. You see every defender making simple clearances like that week in week out for everybody. It was so, so simple. If he'd sent it out for a throw we probably would have drawn the match and been in the strongest position to qualify from the group.

We were not the best team on the night.
I think Joe got tired... he was sensational for 80 mins... who knew a goal keeper could get tired?

Anyway... not too bad at all!
In fact very good...

I am looking forward to the next CL match... but a dull 1 -0 win will do fine!

Ps can't wait till we field our best side!

really gutted to be leading on 85 and then to lose, the fans tonight did us proud and came over well on 5 live, i'm certain we will get through the group stages, anyway 3 pts from arsenal please

Some of you fucking people. We held our own and scored 2 goals away at the best team in the world and narrowly lost. Yes we could have been better... But not by much. I'm damn fucking proud of how we played in the first game of our second champions league campaign, and the rest of you should be too. Onwards and fucking upwards. Stop fucking melting down and giving those stupid cunts at sad cafe the best read of their lives.

get a grip? biggest night on the European stage in god knows how long and we threw it away, that is very dissappointing such was the occassion and what was actually at stake, the Champions League is on a whole other level to Division 1 so getting all sentimental about the "good ol' days" is the only thing to get a grip off.

And what was actually at stake?

Well, 3 points actually in our second term of CL football.

Our Club was pretty much at stake when we were relegated to the third tier of English football.

So yes, get a fucking grip, and a little perspective wouldn't go amiss either.

Bang. Fucking. On.

No it isn't, no matter how dark the days were playing in Division 2 we were there and we came back, great, but now we are a top club aiming for top honours and the mentality has to shift.

What was at stake? a win at the Bernabeu against Real Madrid was at stake. Top of the group was probably at stake, confidence and appeal around the world was at stake because winning at the Bernabeu would have send waves around European football, there was a lot on that game tonight. Never forget Division 2 no but don't bring it up to try and justify poor defending against Madrid when we were winning in the last 5 minutes, it's nonsensical and it's about time some of you actually focused on the actual game instead of trying to justify the loss by talking about Chesterfield, the perspective, we've come a long way, yes we have, but now we're here let's start acting like we're here instead of acting like we were playing at Walsall on sunday.

Bollocks.

No player in the league ha the type of perfection that you are demanding here. He didn't even make a mistake, he just misjudged the flight of a ball by an inch.

This is becoming ridiculous.

We should definitely start slating, I don't know, Barry maybe, for not playing a 60 yard ball for Tevez to run on to.
