Red and black scarves

I wear my red and black scarf with pride to celebrate the life of Neil Young, it has all my badges from my Euro trips and some that have been bought for me by friends.

I make no excuses and will continue to wear it for as long as I want. Deduct points if you want but I salute my team in a red and black scarf

Blue, maroon, red and black, are the main city colours imo.

Maybe just black or white as well but not on scarves.

But yeah blue, maroon, red and black scarves are fine by me.

Are we allowed to wear the sky blue and white one with the maroon stripe running through it

Sorry, but it's a no from me.

And as for those pink ones that girls sometimes wear?

Those bastards should be on -50 points every time they even think about wearing one.

I disagree for those of us of a certain age it is a symbol of one of City's golden era's.

I associate those colours with Bell, Lee and Summerbee. With Mercer and Allison. With winning the FA Cup in 69, the League Cup in 70, the Cup Winners Cup in 70.

Our change strip may be maroon (as it was pre-black and red) but we've also had dark blue, black etc. For me City's away kit should always be black and red.

I love it and will always wear my scarf with pride.

Spot on,many happy memories of great days watching a great side.Whenever I see the red and black scarf reminds me of those times and those who wore them,or managed them, but are no longer with us.

Always thought the team looked physically bigger when they wore this kit, probably my eyesight though, always fancied Hilda Ogden !!!

I genuinely don't like them, especially, as you say DD67, that our away kit is now maroon.

It's not like those colours have been part of our 'istree' for over half a century, or for that matter, that they're originally 'City'.

Not saying others shouldn't wear them, but I never would.

Understand the Neil Young comments, but my point still stands.

Red and black kit is a big thing from our past i would say
