Ref Watch City Games - 2023/24

Have City demanded an apology and explanation? Guess the answer is no. Also no doubt Haaland will now get punished for showing passion and being angry at this stooge cheating us, that filthy scum bastard Neville sticking his dirty sewer mouth in as per usual. Pity City don’t have any proper mobsters any more else that **** would have been shut down in town a long time ago.

Rags V Wolves - Wolves penalty not given

Spurs V Liverpool - Goal given offside by ref.

City V Spurs - "Advantage" taken from city in goal scoring position.

There's a pattern here. It's either incompetence or corruption.

It’s no different pattern to what it’s always been, its incompetence.

Yes you can pull the advantage back, of course you can. Not to the extent of rugby but if advantage is played and immediately lost its can be pulled back!!!
The Laws of the Game aren't totally clear on this point, but I think they suggest a referee should not make any decision if advantage is being considered. He should wait a few seconds, then either i) give a foul, or ii) play advantage. When Hooper indicated with his arm that he was playing advantage, then that decision is final, and he can't, or shouldn't change it.

You will not see another example of a referee signalling advantage, then going back to award a free kick if the advantage didn't work out.

As said earlier, he has either thought Grealish was off, which is a fuck up as he should check with the linesman or has imagined something that simply doesn’t exist. The second he’s blown he knows he’s fucked it, same as the second it left Haaland’s foot he knew he’d missed an open goal.

Without doubt he will be dropped for his fuck up. The face from Taylor on the sidelines said it all, he knew immediately his mate had fucked it.
ref don't fucking whistle for offside and the linesmen wait until the move is over to raise flag.

Scudamore's 'strategic plan' hasn't gone away. I'be seen nothing this weekend that convinces me otherwise.

So basically this referee had a very casual attitude to the laws of the game. He allowed Spurs to take free kicks from blatantly wrong positions, failed to book a Spurs player for a rugby tackle on Guardiola late on, allowed Spurs to time waste and get away with kicking the ball away. Etc the Grealish incident is again a referee with a casual relationship with the rules, first he blows for the free kick, fair enough, the ball is moving and thus he should make City stop play and take the free kick from the correct position, however, for reasons that arent entirely clear he allows Haaland to play on and points that play can continue with no indication he will whistle for a second time, this is pisspoor refereeing and again a casual relationship with the rules. much to the referees surprise Grealish is clean through and his incompetence has caught up with him, in the nick of the ref time blows his whistle. Confusion abounds. The only consolation is if Grealish had scored, there’s a good chance the goal would have been disallowed because the referee had made a clear and obvious mistake.
which mistake?
