Ref Watch City Games - 2023/24

How he completely missed Gordon's second yellow on Dias was beyond incompetent but then equally patheticaly backed it up with just a yellow for Gimeresh on Foden which was the same tackle McAllister got sent off for, studs up into the centre of the shin.
Coward.

I’d happily punch that **** until his face was as red as the cards he should have shown.

Looked like someone following instructions to me, as soon as Gordon made that 2nd challenge he looked away, wasn't interested

and he obviously doesn't like Grealish

We were definitely reffed to instruction last night. Don't like this "extra contact" interpretation as it just allows our opponents to kick us with impunity when they can't get near the ball. The only thing that surprised me though was that Grealish didn't end up with a yellow for complaining he was getting no protection.

With such a small squad we're going to end up with lots of the kids playing/making up the bench due to contact injuries mounting up with the way it's going.

Piss poor refereed both sides under different rules.

I was amazed and pleased at how little second half extra time he added, the highlight of his performance.
Dead right. How many times did one of our players get chopped, clattered, tackled through in a failed attempt to get the ball with no sanction, and in the last twenty minutes he was awarding free kicks to NUFC if we got within breathing distance. Just another fellah who hasn't the faintest idea that the written LotG apply to both sides imparitially. Inept, abysmal performance. I gave him a 2/10 in a previous post and one point was for not adding three more minutes to the five at the end of the second half.

He didn’t miss it. He was in front of me when it happened and he looked straight at it and shit out of it. Then Joelinton brought down Foden and he got dead excited and ran over to book Joelinton (for a less bad challenge) to get him out of giving the Claire Balding lookalike would-be-in-prison-if-he-weren’t-a-footballer-for-those-driving-offences Scouse rat a second yellow.

To be honest how many of them are good/consistent/ unbiased ?

It looks like we are stuck with Webb's version of acceptable incompetence.

So many poor tackles allowed against our players last night.

I no longer expect anything different.

Now age might be clouding my memory, but I'm sure a few years ago when Wenger's Arsenal were running rings around most teams, the powers that be said flair players were going to get more protection. Fast forward a few years and now it's us doing the same, the powers that be are saying more physical contact will be allowed. What a surprise.

That scouse zombie lookalike Gordon should have been sent off. There is a case he could have walked after his first shitehouse challenge on Dias, he definitely should have after the second. Teams will and are kicking shit out of us all game. If the ref allows them to do it they will.

When it comes to good, consistent and unbiased I would put my trust in Howie Redshirt to the same extent I have with Old Mother Riley!

It's a measure of how shit some are, I thought he was mostly OK.

Yes, Gordon should have had a second yellow, but he did say to Ruben, that he'd waved play on which he did. I also thought that was border line red on Phil, but I was a long way from it.

I thought we benefitted a few times from decisions that could have gone against us.
