Ref Watch City Games - 2023/24

Mr Graham Kelly.
Now there was a dapper, articulate and debonair young man.
The Football League, based in Lytham St. Anne's, seems a lifetime away.
Unfortunately, the Premier League, now seems so far removed from reality.
There will be many more dodgy decisions against City, as the PL is desperate for a red-shirt team to win it.
Also, Howard Webb seems to be completely onboard with this...
Maybe they’ll improve at it, because they’ve been awful at manipulating their champion so far.

It was never going to get given as a red. Not a clear enough angle on where the contact was and didn't look high enough on the leg for an overturn.

Scandalous there was no booking for it, mind
We didn’t even get a foul

We didn’t even get a foul

We didn’t even get a foul

Why the fuck is everyone saying why wasn’t it a booking . The bent twat with the whistle can’t book him if he doesn’t give the foul.

For what it’s worth, I think the refs should be sent to the screen for tackles like that. The VAR has had the bar set too high for incidents like that.

They should tell the ref that they think it’s borderline and that they should look at it again and make their own mind up.

Felt like a sending off for me that one....borderline but for me it was just enough over the line to be a red card.

just glad Foden walked away from it seemily unscathed - we have neough injury issues in midfield at present. A second later or slight higher and its a broken leg/ankle as Fodens leg was pretty much planted on the ground
Borderline? Wow, two footed studs up lunge into a players leg, if that’s borderline i wouldn’t want to see a shocker

It was one footed wasn’t it? Two feet off the ground though.

I agree it should have been a red. There was a similar challenge in the spurs game and that didn’t get referred by VAR either. Worrying.

If you have time just look at the decisions the dippers got in both those campaigns we ended up champions.
Fortunately we were better than both the dippers and the officials
If that was the case, I'm surprised that Mane wasn't given the benefit of the doubt when he highfooted Ederson or not allowing a goal when Stones made that unbelievable goal line clearance.
