I'm glad they changed the rules on that one but there's going to obviously be more cards while habits change. It's like changing speed limits from mph to kph then complaining that the number of speeding tickets issued has gone up.
For the record, I don’t think the refereeing is of a great standard at the moment. I just don’t think they’re competent enough to get decisions right all of the time, due to the speed of the game and constant cheating that goes on.Probably the wrong comment knowing your stance for the officials.

Hooper made a howler in not playing the advantage against Spurs and I was out of my seat shouting at the fucker in the stadium. I still don't think it was bent, it was just a shit decision.
The approach to VAR needs to change. Clear and obvious needs to be binned and on field refs should look at all contentious decisions on the screen to make their own mind up without being essentially told they’ve made an error before looking at the screen.
Anyway, I’ve said my piece and some will agree and most probably won’t. Until there is ever a scrap of evidence to prove corruption, I won’t believe the refs are good enough to be bent.
