Ref Watch City Games - 2023/24

Even with the 3 bouts of cramp?
Last season? It would have been 1 min first half, 3 mins second half. If there was excessive time-wasting, 4 mins. Any longer, someone needed to die.

We ended up with 7 minutes in this match - which is probably expected, as times definitely appear to have come down a bit from the start of the season, and you're probably talking 30-60 seconds per incident with the cramp.

6 mins at Shite Hart Lane
Most games last season had a minimum of 4 mins would offen go into the 6th minute So no difference today going into 6:35 seconds

Thought Hwang should have got a second yellow (but seen them both given and not) thought Lemina should have got a second yellow (but again seen them both given and not) but my biggest issue was Gomes half a dozen and no yellow and a further two on Doku that weren't given when clear fouls. Combined with Wolves players throwing themselves to the ground and rolling at every contact.

It's not the individual decisions it's the fact every 50/50 goes against us. If that's us Gomes gets the yellow after the third foul and either calms down, gets taken or sent off, Hwang and Lemina are both sent off.

In most games we are too good so it doesn't matter (although we still come on here to complain) but when we aren't on it these things make a difference.

And yet Wolves were singing that the PL is corrupt in our favour following a non foul coming together.

No point complaining about VAR until they can sort out the sheer incompetence of referees.

Why do they always look so intimidated, scared, and not in control?

Watched a bit of the rugby last weekend, and the referees were so much more assured on every decision they made, and were able to articulate it to the players.

Football referees always have a scowl on their face as if they're just in sheer panic all the time. Can't remember a referee who looked like they enjoyed their job, whilst actually managing to look like they've got the game under control. They can't get everything right, but they are losing control of games too easily, and you can see the gamesmanship from managers now to almost bully them ie fake head injuries, feigning injuries, delaying restarting the game.

They just don't even do the basics really well, so what's the point in hammering VARs incompetence until we at least have a decent level of refereeing. VAR sent Jones off today when the referee thought it was a yellow, so VAR is already making up for their incompetence.

The VAR operators are the refs on the pitch they do a game and VAR duty most weekends There are also some retired refs doing VAR as they have an assistant as well

I know we all have blue blinkers on at times but every weekend without fail the standard of refereeing ( including Var) is terrible and that's across all the games.
Another apology tonight from pigmol regarding offside mistakes. Its simply not good enough. CTID

Ignored it on MOTD. Of course they did.
Surprised a narrative of PGMOL telling Darren England to fuck up to bury Pawson’s performance hasn’t appeared on here yet.

That would give them too much credit. They take it one game at a time. Foresight isn’t their forte.

They most certainly do, but we've often put the game to bed and they can only have minor influence.

As someone said earlier Pawson will be the hero to them this weekend, he managed to influence our result for them for the first time this season.
It’s impossible to know though. We scored an amazing free kick and didn’t look like scoring from our other 20 odd shots.

We should have swapped Ake and Akanji, negated Neto and gone on to an easy win.

Deflection of attention with the shitshow at Tottenham. Also pigmol are so fast out of the gate to apologize to everyone that’s not us

Not really, as the winner was scored by someone who shouldn't have still been on the pitch.

Certainly our fault for not scoring, but most of the chances (stats) we did create, were punts from a long way out, and didn't threaten.

Anyways it's gone, I was over it by 17:00.
The butterfly effect suggests it might not have been.
