Ref Watch City Games - 2023/24

He is correct, but I'm guessing his comments are going to hamper any potential appeal.
Very much doubt City appeal. Rodri deserved the red card.

That doesn’t mean it wasn’t partly down to Taylor’s horrible officiating, or that Gibbs-White didn’t pathetically make a meal of it, but Rodri stupidly played in to Forest’s and the ref’s hands by putting his hands near the shitehouse’s throat.

He actually said it elsewhere across many posts.

But, at any rate, as you said you supported lassel’s strawman post, I had asked you if the person he responded to had confirmed your (and apparently his) assumption that the original post was indeed arguing that “Referees should ignore the rules because it’s City”.

Again, that is what we have been discussing.

And, as yet, that blue has not confirmed your assumption.

I think you are getting a bit confused with all the other debates going on in the thread.
And I agreed he hadn't. For someone that holds beliefs based on circumstantial evidence you don't half have a problem with people that hold beliefs based on circumstantial evidence!
Talking of those beliefs, as I stated earlier a percentage of every clubs fanbase hold the same ones in reverse about their club.

I have no problem with opinions based on circumstantial evidence as long as:

1) The person that holds them acknowledges it is an opinion.

2) And there is actual circumstantial evidence for it.

I am not sure either condition is met here, given there was literally nothing in @denislawsbackheel ’s post to indicate he was arguing that “referees should ignore the rules because it is City”.

His post said, and I quote: “FFS Taylor”.

So the assumption you and lassel made is based on no evidence.

@Sir peace frog
I am most definitely a blue and having seen video footage of the Rodri Incident I completely agree with the below comment by @Iassel.
I won't comment on the standard of the refereeing for the rest of the game as I refuse to ref a game from the centre line of East Stand Level 2. They had 7 yellows and us 3 (not including Pep's) which seems about right, although the amount of cards issued is by no means conclusive evidence of a well officiated match.
I will say that in the dying minutes there was what looked like a clear fowl on Jack not given, but again that could be down to my poor vantage point.

Totally agree with you blueste41.
Although our players were frustrated with the inconsistent reffing which obviously got to Rodri the most. No excuses though.
Best thing the club can do is keep winning no need to make formal complaints. Cleansheet with ten men for 45mins + will just boil more piss. CTID

As I said in a different thread, this is exactly the mindset that the PL want fans to have.

Apathy and acceptance is exactly what corrupt organisation work to cultivate.

The circumstantial evidence came from the timing of the post, you can pretend that doesn't meet the criteria if you want but it doesn't change the fact that it does!
And you have just ignored the fact that fans of other clubs believe it's corrupt against them, I guess you have to otherwise it blows your argument apart?

…there is nothing about the post or the timing of the post that would lead “FFS Taylor” to mean “referees should ignore the rules because it’s City”.

That is adding two and two together and getting a bushel of bananas.

It would be equally valid to say he was denouncing the poor personal financial management of Taylor as related to his debt-to-income ratio and lack of diversified asset holdings.

They are both nonsensical jumps.

LOL, it's acutely obvious that your skewed thought process has led you down the rabbit hole you reside in!
I won't mention other conspiracy theories I suspect you subscribe to but I believe if I were to guess most would be correct.

…you are the one using highly flawed logic, mate.

You’ve created a meaning to a post with no information to support the meaning.

And then keep attempting to change the subject of the debate, digging yourself an ever deeper hole.

Conspiracy theory indeed!

And I would suspect you would be quite wrong if you were to ascribe any conspiracy theories to me, as it is clear you’ve not actually read much of what I have written on here about my beliefs and philosophical tenets.

Jumping to more wild assumptions!

Not as bad as his cint show versus Chelsea but ill say it again and again, he's not fit to referee. From being 2v0 up and coasting in what was a relaxed (almost lackadaisical atmosphere) we roated like fook and got behind the lads. BOOO CITY CITY
