Ref Watch

There were 6 individual stoppages which are added at 30 seconds a piece, there were 3 goals which can be anything from 30-60 seconds added on, 90 seconds for Lavia’s tactical stoppage, and then nearly 3 minutes faffing with the assistants radio.

There were then 2x injury stoppages in the 8 minutes hence 10 being played.

It always pays to remember that the world isn’t always out to get you.
It’s not 30 seconds per substitute. Seen as a rough rule of thumb but not applicable where they run off and certainly not in modern era of 5 subs.

Keep trying to defend nonsensical officiating throughout that match to legitimise your team being assisted by the league.

Yes Sebastian, I’ve been posting on here for months, carefully plotting a subterfuge on the offchance that the opportunity would come up to show up your lack of knowledge of injury time rules….

Allowance for time lost

Allowance is made by the referee in each half for all playing time lost in that half through:
  • substitutions
  • assessment and/or removal of injured players
  • wasting time
  • disciplinary sanctions
  • medical stoppages permitted by competition rules e.g. ‘drinks’ breaks (which should not exceed one minute) and ‘cooling’ breaks (ninety seconds to three minutes)
  • delays relating to VAR 'checks' and 'reviews'
  • any other cause, including any significant delay to a restart (e.g. goal celebrations)
The fourth official indicates the minimum additional time decided by the referee at the end of the final minute of each half. The additional time may be increased by the referee but not reduced.
The referee must not compensate for a timekeeping error during the first half by changing the length of the second half.

Fuck all in there that says 30 seconds for stoppages, subs or owt else.

Keep digging mate

Because a couple of Southampton players went down with ‘cramp’……

And the 8 minutes was due to 6 substitution stoppages, 3 goals, a long tactical stoppage from Lavia and 3+ minutes minging around with the assistants radio.

What on earth were you expecting ffs?!?
The same thing that happens to us when we have the same situation? A couple of token mins at best...

8 minutes is absolutely ridiculous. Why is it we only get about 3 minutes added on when it’s us? So blatant. Some of them free kicks that weren’t given as well were bad calls as well
Bournemouth tried the same tactic at Arsenal. Taking forever at goal at kicks etc and even going down injured in injury time! And then complaining when they conceded the winner in time added on's time added on!
Fortunately for City, The Saints got away with it today
