Ref Watch

So no chance ofTierney being " rested " then despite his abysmal / corrupt performance .

Even in the old days they were never really rested. Used to have 20 full time refs. 10 reffed 1 week, 10 the next week. The week you were not reffing in the PL you got a football league game. The press used to say ref x has been demoted from this weeks PL after a poor game when in fact it would be his turn to step down.

It’s systemic. I’ve noticed, not just this season but in previous ones too, the opposition will generally commit 2-3 fouls before Manchester City do. No issues so far, the referee blows for a foul, not every foul is a yellow card. The first Manchester City foul almost always ends up with the City player getting a yellow card.
I think it was 2 years ago stats came out. City were the most fouled side & committed the least number. However, City received more cards than any other team.

So there is nobody at PiGMOL taking any notice of their performances, and the only person who controlled them was the Govan Bully who was able to decide who got to ref at the swamp ?

Fucking brilliant set-up , ripe for corruption.

Same as the possession stats. Often we have 20-30% more possession than the opposition, but the foul count never reflect this. We always 'commit' a higher number of fouls then the opposition, which is truly baffling.

I would say our first foul almost never ends up with a yellow card.

We have to get factual when talking about this. Otherwise when we do have gripes about things, it just gets lost in the sea of our persecution complex.

The season Leicester won it. I think ref at ours was Blobby Madley. He booked Wes Morgan and theatrically pointed four areas of the pitch he'd fouled. Zabba came off bench later and was given two

Cast your mind back to 2016 and Manchester City start the season away at Stoke City, In line with a new PIGMOL directive Mike Dean clamps down on contact in the box and awards Stoke a penalty out of nothing. Apparently Shawcross couldn`t break free from Sterling in the box. But the pundits all said it`s what is now expected under the new rules in the box. The following weekend it`s ops normal as the physical element returned in the box.

Now back to the current season. We open the season with a game at Spuds where under a new PIGMOL directive Alty Fan Taylor endeavours to keep the game flowing while allowing Tanganga to perform acts of unpunished violence, This successful aggressive approach earns Tanganga the MOTM and the pundits plaudits However, once again normal refereeing services resume in the following weeks as Tanganga sees red when being sent off at Palace whilst taking the same approach to wild tackling.

So we all play under the same rules PIGMOL, yeh right?

Would this be about the same time that gary Neville came out with his tactical foul shite. Like no other team ever does it ?

Has the ref union come out in agreement with the theory that three free kick was awarded for Henderson's foul and therefore Milner escapes punishment? A la the Liverpool fans theory. (Not sure how that works).
