Ref Watch

In other news Dermot says right call for the yellow only on Fabinho elbow.

He doesn’t use his elbow as a weapon so nothing to see lol.

No wonder PiGMOB is in such a shit state!

A forearm smash IS NOT ALLOWED, and if you actually look at the Fabinho incident it was an unnatural movement and he even had a not so sly look before he rolled him and smashed him in the neck. Red card all day long, same as the one Mane got away with on Azpilicueta v Chelsea.

100% on purpose.

Despot Dermot is just toeing the PiGMOL party line by not disagreeing with the referee.

They have no shame but then again why should they have.
They know nobody can do or say anything about how it's run.
If you are a manager and dare call them out you get a charge.
If you are a Dipper supporter it just adds to your sense of entitlement

They aren't embarrassed though. They've been lying for so long they actually believe their own bullsh*t.
Neither embarrassment nor shame ever enter PiGMOL's portals. They work on the old element of the LotG that stated that the ref is the sole arbiter of fact, even when it is blatantly clear with or without the use of VAR that s/he has made another cock-up, or that s/he has modified the written LotG to suit the purpose, outcome or preferred result. You only have to watch two or three matches at any level - men, kids, women - to realise that penal offences inside or outside the area are based on a random variable, as is the case of sanctioning such offences with red or yellow cards. Kev stays on his feet and escapes the tugging, roughing of a couple of players two or three times as he gallops away in order to play someone in. Nothing to see from the ref, no sanction, but how many times does a player simply flop to the ground as soon as they feel half a newton metre of force in order to win a free kick, which the ref always seems fit to award.

Did he mention that dreadful tackle on Grealish down by the corner flag in front of block 211. The ref waved play on and after a long period of passing he eventually booked Guimaraes, but no sign of a VAR review. That in my opinion was a red card offence.

Eventually pulled it back and gave a yellow. One he'd played on he couldn't give a Red card.

Probably under instructions not to give a red at any costs unless it was absolutely blatant, but in my opinion that was.

Same area of recklessness as Ayling got his marching orders. Another example of random variations in the application of the LotG within the same game, in opposing halves, the next game, games played within a twenty five mile radious - all different outcomes! I think that PiGMOL has some difficulty in understanding what consistency means. But there again they can claim they are consistently wayward in the variety of their decisions.

I watched MotD2 just to see what the studio had to say about the 'tackle' on Grealish and the wrestiling-cum-rugby variations at corners but there was not a word or a frame!

'Random' you say?
