Ref Watch

Mason isn’t out because of one error. He has officially made six incorrect VAR decisions this season.

I don’t know what the current running total is but to put it in context the total number of official incorrect VAR decisions before the World Cup break was also six, across the whole league.
Do you have a source for Mason being responsible for six VAR mistakes? I can only find reference to two.

To be fair, it was a horrendous ‘error’ by Mason to ‘forget(!)’ to draw the lines. It’s not just a judgement error, it’s pure negligence on his part. If he can’t even get that right, he shouldn’t be anywhere near a football match. Definitely sack-worthy IMO.

I think you’ve missed the real issue.

Decisions are going to favour one particulars team ‘s attempt for a title and it ain’t us or arsenal.

Refs are bending over backwards for united like I’ve never seen. Against Leeds Maguire put two hands on the ball, var check couldn’t have been 5 seconds. Minutes later two blatantly offside united calls were scrutinized beyond belief in an attempt to see if they could grant them.
Similarly with one of the half a dozen penalty shouts for City against Brentford. VAR should be able to determine that a Brentford player had both hands on the ball and it was a penalty yet deemed " inconclusive ". There were a few penalties that were waved away for City against United too and then they got the decision to give them an offside goal that changed the game.

I've just watch Arsenal highlights and when Nketiah collides with Ederson and is on the floor, he actually thinks Taylor has given a goal when he points to the penalty spot!! He runs away to celebrate. Not one player appeals for a penalty and are shocked when it's given. There are incidents like this in every match that are never given. Bent as fuck!!! All the commentators with hindsight say penalty correctly given but not one called it at the time. All complicit. I'd love us to win the league more this year than any other just to boil more piss.
A similar incident happened years ago when City were playing United in a cup game, the ball was put into the box from a corner, the referee blew his whistle, everyone looked mystified and the referee awarded a penalty to United. City were one nil up at the time.
