Ref Watch

Michael Oliver and Anthony Taylor are on the Elite List for this season
Oliver has had 4 Champions League games, and recently a Europa League game, Kiev v Villareal, and Taylor 4 Champions League games this season including PSG v Barca last week and the Super Cup game last Sept Bayern v Sevilla.

Scotland have one ref involved, Bobby Madden, 1 Cl and 3 Europa League, but interestingly a Greek League game Panathinakos v Olympiacos, where they wanted a neutral ref.

english refs are like english managers useless. why do all the top teams have good foreign managers (apart from the obvious one). about time we have foreign refs as well.

After 8 minutes Lookman had already ran through from an off side position and the lines man did not raise his flag, City also had a player running through from an off side position and the lines man raised his flag straight away, i have got to admit at that point i though here we go again with one set of rules for us and another for the opposition, as it happens they affected the game very little, the lines person has affected City`s results over the last decade far more than refs mainly because no one remembers the names, anyway Marriner was shit as usual clearly he hates Jesus
I remember the lino's names. Simon Beck and Jake Collin were always used together (especially alongside Crapp'n'bent)

Early on Kev seemed to be barged off the ball, nothing given and I thought it was going to be one of those games. Then we came away with the ball after a robust challenge and it turned out he was being even handed and not inclined to stop the game for soft free kicks. Absolutely fine!
That's exactly the part where I thought "oh, hang on a minute".

Better than Hoddles 'if he had connected with that properly and the keeper hadn't saved it and it had crossed the line and it wasn't hand ball, then (insert player's name) would have scored'.
Slightly off topic but same ball park, losing patience with Hinchcliffe talking about players wrapping their foot around it

And in tonights Arsenal game the ref spotted a foul throw by the Greeks and rightly then gave the throw to Arsenal. However, the Arsenal player then took the throw some 30 yards further up the pitch than the point where the ball went out. Under the rules that is also a foul, but he did nowt.
