I reckon it’s because he always showed the right kind of bias pigmol likes to see in their refs, but he was just too damn obvious back in the day. He realised a while ago the way to get on as a ref in this country is you have to be a twat to anyone but the history boys and you get extra points for being a twat to anyone who threatens their status.

He was just too eager to impress back in the day and now he is a lot more subtle, even though anyone with a normal level of perception knows he a bent twat. About 10 years ago he reffed a game against wolves at the Etihad in which he was like a man possessed in his attempts to allow wolves to get something from the game. He failed but the rabid nature of his attempts will stay with me always.

I feel now he has curbed his enthusiasm he will be a go to guy for pigmol now that the like of Dean and Atkinson are retiring. Our issues with referees are not about to go anywhere as far as I can see.

Not if this twat is seen as an elite referee anyway.

We get 2 soft yellows in 3 fouls v Leeds. Leeds allowed to kick us off the pitch. Dippers yet again officiated with bias, so few cards are ever given to them and ones given should be 2nd yellows in many cases.
England on Var (Again and not questioned by media) and Oliver and this is not a red. Laughably corrupt but predictable appointments by Riley:

Darren England's VAR appointments this season.

Leeds United FC: 5
Manchester United FC: 5
Tottenham Hotspur FC: 5
West Ham United FC: 5
Everton FC: 4
Leicester City FC: 4
Burnley FC: 3
Southampton FC: 2
Watford FC: 2
Brentford FC: 1
Norwich City FC: 1

When City played them City had two goals disallowed. One was for a" suspected foul" , goal ruled out and a City player booked. Then VAR ruled out a second winning goal that was called " offside " because apparently there was a " mistake " and the wrong frame was selected. Much like the game in the semi final of the Champions League against Spurs where the frame that showed conclusively the handball was mysteriously not shown to the referee. Mmm. Even then City got another winning goal that was ruled out for a dubious " offside ". yet against Newcastle, LiVARpool scored from a suspected foul and got given the benefit of the doubt and once again should have had a player sent off and the opposition had a goal disallowed for offside. No wonder they cling so fiercely to the few decisions City have had. They get them several times a game, almost every game, usually changing the outcome of the game in their favour. They are in denial and desperately trying to convince themselves that they are doing it the " right way ".

what do you mean the wrong frame was used
