Ref Watch

Corruption, Cash Cows, Spineless officials, Media, what ever the reasons it has been clear to us for years that they are officiated with a completely different set of rules to us, and at least fans of other teams are seeing it now also.

Are Riley and Co under orders to keep the cash cow teams challenging. it certainly looks that way. Dippers get perfect appointments with refs and notice they complained about Tierney after the Spurs game mid December and he has not officiated them since. Riley doing what Dippers want him to do. Think last time we complained about a ref we had him again 2 games later.
The lack of cards they receive game after game can not be just poor officiating by so many refs. No bookings last night was laughable and how many reds do they avoid, either by getting away with bookings so that if they get a rare booking it should be a 2nd one and red or straight reds. Mane v Chelsea and Newcastle spring to mind, Fabinho most games, inc the recent elbow on Son, 3 of theirs v Us, Milner v Us, Arnold v Everton, avoided a red v Rags, the list in endless. How different the PL table may look if they had key players rightly suspended.
The cups are the same, Sending offs for the opposition galore on the CL, Kept in the cup at Leicester by avoiding a blatant red when 3-1 down, then the dodgy officiating in the final. FA Cup game v Cardiff with a penalty not given at 0-0 (England on Var) and the Keeper only getting a yellow instead of a red.
Its easy to challenge for a quadruple when your looked after so much.

In contrast look at how we are officiated, 2 cards in 3 tackles v Leeds, both soft and same ref let them get away with murder, Ederson booked often for time wasting when the other keeper has been at it for the previous 80 mins, the 2nd leg v Madrid and what they got away with.

The Media do not help, it seems any rare decision is scrutinised, a media campaign on behalf of Dippers about an injustice, Klopp constantly in the refs and 4th officials face yet gets away with it game after game, ex players all over the TV and Media, its like refs are cowards and afraid of giving anything against them because of the backlash. Again Tierney, not appointed as Ref since the complained about him. Moss last night, Atwell v Everton, Oliver v Spurs.
It is noticeable how many home games they lost during lockdowns with no crowds so refs were a little more fairer. How many games is it now since a penalty against them? And some they do get are laughably soft.

Lets just watch Martin Atkinson tonight, then watch him v Dippers at Southampton and see the difference in how he officiates
clear and obvious.

Maybe he is getting called out but as far as the PL is concerned it's job done. A possible slip up by the wall pushers could have meant us winning at West Ham when they aren't playing thus removing any last day tension. Moss is retiring so it doesn't matter as nobody will really question it any further and it will all be dealt with by a shrug of the shoulder. If we win tonight and Sunday then we are six clear meaning they have to beat Southampton to then have a chink of last day drama. Watch out for plenty of contentious decisions in our next games and I fully expect that in one of them we will be down to 10 at a time when the game is still in the balance. We will then have the card rescinded after the game as it was a mistake but the damage will have been done. It's so blatant and obvious it's frightening and it will take a brave journalist to spill the beans.
I'm expecting Laporte to be Red carded tonight so we'll have no defence for the last 2 games.
The owners need to employ Dean or similar to take on the role of Officials Liaison Officer and fight fire with fire, otherwise we'll continue to be stiffed. With similar officiating to the dippers and rags, we'd have done the Quad several times by now and they know it, after the Centurions, First Domestic Treble/Quad its the next step.

Come on Blues

It’s going to need a ref to actually apply the six second rule soon as it’s getting out of hand. Pickford is one of the worst offenders.

needs blowing up and dealing with. That’s if the powers that be are serious about the quality of football on show.
When it starts to become an issue during a match, I'll NEVER understand why a ref doesn't do the same sort of thing as they do at corners.

Just blow the bloody whistle. Trot over to the keeper/timewasters and give them a proper final team wide "cut this bollocks out or else I start flashing cards" warning. Then get on with the match and remember to follow through with your word.

Piece of piss this refereeing lark.

The reason they don't is (A) they don't fucking care (B) it's a form of game management (and we all know how much they love a bit of that) and (C) unfit fat **** refs don't want to "trot over" to snap at a 6'4" keeper because it's a long way from the half-way line to the six-yard box and they've only got a certain number of them in them per 90mins.

I hope to god Manchester city get the job done and win the title before the last game of the season ?
I have this bad feeling mike dean is going to ref the city vs villa game with it his last game as a match official and the 10th anniversary of the AGUERO if refereed

how was that not a foul by jota just before their first goal, also keita rakes his boot down the back of a villa players leg and he gets a free kick, when gerrard was told moss was retiring he said "good, i hope his performance tonight is going to be looked at" totally bent, the twats 4th official tonight!!
